I find it to be important to participate in events for raising money and awareness for MS research. When you get involved you will find yourself surrounded by people who know and understand the disease.

Cognitive issues is a big problem with MS. I have cognitive issue and was almost releaved to findout that it was associated with my MS. I first started noticing when I was having trouble remembering names and TV shows that I had already seen. Then I was having difficulty remembering words when i was in the middle of a sentence. I believe your brain is like a muscle in your body that if its weak you need to exercise it!
Know Your Insurance
I have come to learn that knowing the workings of your insurance may just be one of the most important things. If there are benefits that you are not aware of, no one is going to tell you about them. It’s their job to make sure you are paying as much as possible out of pocket. Ever since i was diagnosed, I made sure I took a proactive approach to my insurance company. I got to know exactly how my plan worked: co-pay, out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles, and what treatments and medications are covered under my policy. I have found that my familiarity with my policy has helped me to avoid paying more than my fair share, unfortunately, many others out there have not come to realize that they are being taken advantage of yet.
